Lynnfield CommonsLynnfield MA Lynnfield Commons is a 200 unit apartment complex nearing completion in 2009 for the John M Corcoran Company under the Masschusetts 40B process for creation of mixed-income housing. 20% of the units in the project will be available to moderate income families and rest are market rate with high end finishes and trim. It sits on a spectacular site that was carved out of a granite hillside adjacent to the Lynn Woods reservation. |
1 East Lennox StreetBoston MA 1 East Lennox Street is a newly constructed 26 room SRO in Boston developed by Caritas Communities Inc. with assistance by Massachusetts Housing Partnership and the City of Boston. Each 350 sq ft suite contains living area, closets, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. A retail store faces Washington Street in accordance with the City of Boston's "Main Streets" program. The building exterior features over 1700 pieces of cast stone trim. |

Parkside CommonsChelsea MA Parkside Commons is a 234 unit apartment complex completed in 2008 in Chelsea MA for the John M Corcoran Company. There are four stories of wood framed apartments over a parking podium framed in concrete. The building includes many "Green" features and is the first commercial apartment complex in the area seeking certification under the LEED program. |

Vine Street SRO ResidenceMelrose MA Vine Street Melrose MA is the latest SRO developed by Caritas Communities Inc. Originally a single family residence, the former nursing home included an adjacent barn and several utilitarian additions. It has been transformed into a 14 room residence with private baths and common kitchen, common room and laundry facilities. The exterior has been restored to fit within the historic urban context. |

Harbor Point ApartmentsDorchester MA Harbor Point Apartments on Boston's waterfront, is the conversion of a failed '50's public housing project to private ownership, mixing 348 subsidized and 935 market units. Apartments range in size from one to six bedrooms. 11 existing buildings were completely redesigned and rebuilt, and new townhouse and apartment buildings were added. During the design phase of the project Russell Scott Steedle & Capone coordinated the work of the design architects, establishing design standards, simplifying and rationalizing design and construction methods, and suggesting ways to meet the project budget. Russell Scott Steedle & Capone had full Architectural responsibility for the $121,000,000 project during construction. |

The existing 1940 Southfield Village Public Housing project is being demolished in phases and replaced by new townhouses and small apartment buildings. |

Elm Haven renamed the Homes at MontereyNew Haven CT Elm Haven, a 1940's Public Housing project covering a dozen square blocks in New Haven CT is being demolished and rebuilt under HUD's Hope VI program. 450 units are being created in single and two family houses, townhouse, a small apartment building for elderly persons, and a rehabbed tower building. Centers of blocks are being turned into shared play areas. |
