Doubletree Boston Hotel

Boston MA

Doubtree Boston Hotel between Boston's theater district and Chinatown was created from the Don Bosco Technical High School originally built in the 1920's as a public vocational school. A new wing was built as part of the hotel project, creating a total of 268 rooms plus conference space, restaurant, and a café. The gymnasium and swimming pool area of the school were turned into a branch YMCA which also serves hotel guests.

Hayward Landing

East Douglas MA

Hayward Landing, in a restored National Register Woolen Mill complex, provides 96 apartments in an idyllic setting on a pond created for the mill. Developed and managed by MB Associates, the project was financed by the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency and includes subsidized and market rate apartments.

Southfield Village renamed Southwood Square

Stamford CT

Southwood Square is a 330 unit apartment complex being redeveloped by the Beacon and Corcoran Jennison Companies. The existing 1940 Southfield Village Public Housing project is being demolished in phases and replaced by new townhouses and small apartment buildings.

Elm Haven renamed the Homes at Monterey

New Haven CT

Elm Haven, a 1940's Public Housing project covering a dozen square blocks in New Haven CT is being demolished and rebuilt under HUD's Hope VI program. 450 units are being created in single and two family houses, townhouse, a small apartment building for elderly persons, and a rehabbed tower building. Centers of blocks are being turned into shared play areas.

Kimball Court Apartments

Woburn MA

Kimball Court Apartments in Woburn Massachusetts has six residential buildings containing 525 1, 2 and 3BR apartments, a community building, and recreational amenities including swimming pool and tennis courts. An additional 200 unit building is in the planning stage.

Mt. Florence Garden Apartments and Townhouses

Peekskill NY

Mt. Florence in Peekskill NY is the re-use of 100 acre religious school property high above the Hudson River. The central brick complex was planned for renovation and conversion to housing, 270 new townhouse units and 80 garden apartments have been built in portions of the former farm land.

The Villages at Marley Station

Glen Burnie MD

The Villages at Marley Station is a 757 unit apartment complex for people with incomes below 80% of median income. Purchased in foreclosure by Corcoran Jennison, $13,500 per unit renovation is bringing all interior finishes up to like-new condition. The project all includes exterior upgrades and new tot lot areas, pool and poolhouse, community space and a fitness center.

28 Mt. Pleasant Ave

Roxbury MA

28 Mt. Pleasant Ave. is a 20 room SRO in Boston redeveloped by Caritas Communities Inc. with assistance by Massachusetts Housing Partnership in conjunction with the City of Boston using Permanent Plus loan program. It was designed in accordance with the Secretary of Interior's standards for Historic Preservation.
